Jenny's Bothy Crofthouse

  • 'Thanks for all. We love this place, so quiet, peacefull and lovely. We enjoyed our short walk early in the morning as well as sleeping in a "refuge". We surely want to come back for we haven't finnished exploring, more deeply, the area. - see you' - Thomas and Claudia
  • 'It was the calm, still quality of the land which impressed me the most! And the buildings on the land reflected that stillness, complementing and honouring the power of peace on this particular part of the earth'. - Guy Thorvaldson, Findhorn Foundation

Newtonmore Hostel

  • I really like it; I like the size and space of the rooms. I also like the eggcups – Victoria Maxwell (age 10)!
  • Well, here is our first experience of the hostel life and to be honest we've been very pleasantly surprised. Of course, that might be something to do with the fact that we've got the whole place to ourselves. We are sitting beside the stove at the moment with the warm orange glow of the fire illuminating the room, the flames dancing like fire demons and casting grotesque silhouettes against the wall. The atmosphere is lost a little in that 'The Final countdown' by Europe is playing in the background. All the same this is surely the definition of contentment. For any other guests reading this, consider yourselves lucky to be staying in such a lovely place. - A.J. Fletcher - 2005
  • Enjoyed a very comfortable and convivial nights stay. Will tell others about this fine cyclists’ rest – Ian & David – 2005
  • We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here in both the Hostel and the town. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others – Danielle & Darrell – 2005
  • A 150 mile hike from Dundee to Inverness brings us back to this fantastic retreat. Marchers salute with a view to return on future missions of highland marching – Highland Marchers – 2005
